Shipping policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
1. Overview
At The Braai Co., we aim to make every delivery experience simple, reliable and transparent. This Shipping Policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders placed through thebraaico.com.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Returns & Refund Policy and Legal Notice.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit, exclude or waive any rights you may have under applicable South African law, including the:
- Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"); and
- Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA").
Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable law, the applicable law will prevail. ECTA section 46, where applicable, governs the execution of qualifying electronic transactions and requires a supplier to execute an order within 30 days after receiving it, unless another period has been agreed.
2. Delivery Area
The Braai Co. currently delivers to physical addresses within the Republic of South Africa.
We do not currently offer international shipping.
Certain remote or outlying areas may be subject to different delivery arrangements or timeframes. If this applies to your order, we will communicate with you where reasonably necessary.
3. Shipping Costs
A standard delivery fee of R99 applies to orders unless a different delivery charge is clearly displayed at checkout.
Any applicable delivery charge will be shown to you before you complete your purchase.
4. Order Processing and Dispatch
We aim to process and dispatch every order within 1–2 business days after your order has been received and payment has been successfully confirmed.
Orders are processed on business days only. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays may be processed on the next applicable business day.
The 1–2 business day processing timeframe is an estimated operational target and is not intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
Where ECTA section 46 applies, we remain subject to the applicable statutory obligation to execute the order within 30 days after receiving the order, unless another period has been agreed between you and us.
If we fail to execute an order within the applicable statutory or agreed period, you may have the right to cancel the agreement by giving the required written notice in accordance with ECTA.
5. Delivery Timeframes
Once your order has been handed to our courier partner, delivery typically takes 2–3 business days, depending on your location and the delivery conditions applicable to your area.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- courier delays;
- adverse weather conditions;
- public holidays;
- high-volume periods;
- remote or outlying delivery locations;
- incorrect or incomplete delivery information; or
- other unforeseen operational circumstances.
Where ECTA section 46 applies, the statutory or agreed period for execution takes precedence over estimated delivery timeframes stated in this policy.
6. Our Courier Partners
The Braai Co. uses Bob Go and its available courier partners to facilitate deliveries.
Once your order has been dispatched, delivery is carried out by the courier allocated to your shipment.
Courier availability, routes and delivery procedures may vary depending on your location.
7. Tracking Your Order
Where tracking information is available, we will provide you with the relevant tracking details after your order has been dispatched.
Please allow a reasonable amount of time for tracking information to become active after your parcel has been handed to the courier.
If you experience difficulty tracking your order, please contact us at info@thebraaico.com .
8. Delivery Address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing your order.
Please ensure that your delivery information, including any relevant unit number, estate name, suburb, postal code and contact details, is correct.
If an order cannot be delivered because the delivery information provided is incorrect or incomplete, delivery may be delayed.
If you need to update your delivery details, please contact us as soon as possible at info@thebraaico.com . We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has been processed or dispatched.
9. Delivery and Receipt of Goods
Please ensure that you, or an authorised person, are available to receive your order at the delivery address.
Depending on the courier's procedures, a signature, confirmation or other form of acknowledgement may be required upon delivery.
Where applicable, goods remain at the supplier's risk until the consumer has accepted delivery in accordance with applicable law. Consumer rights relating to the agreed date, time and place of delivery remain subject to the relevant provisions of South African law.
If your order arrives visibly damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at info@thebraaico.com .
Your rights in relation to defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or incomplete goods are explained further in our Returns & Refund Policy.
10. Delays
Although we aim to meet our estimated processing and delivery timeframes, delays may occasionally occur.
If we become aware of a significant delay affecting your order, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed.
Estimated timeframes do not override mandatory rights provided by applicable law.
Where we are unable to perform because the goods ordered are unavailable, ECTA section 46 requires us to notify you immediately and refund any payment made within 30 days after notifying you of the unavailability.
11. Orders Not Received
If your estimated delivery timeframe has passed and you have not received your order, please contact us at info@thebraaico.com .
We will investigate the matter with the relevant courier and take appropriate steps based on the circumstances.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable law.
12. Changes or Cancellations Before Dispatch
If you would like to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@thebraaico.com .
If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
Once an order has been dispatched, changes may no longer be possible. Your applicable statutory cancellation and return rights will continue to apply.
Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under the CPA, ECTA or other applicable law.
13. Your Statutory Rights
This Shipping Policy is intended to explain our shipping process and estimated delivery timeframes. It does not replace or limit any mandatory rights you may have under South African law.
Where the CPA, ECTA or any other applicable law gives you greater rights than those described in this policy, the applicable law will prevail.
